Problem addressed for AutoPlaque: the situation before the digital solution.

The problem

A regulated product seemed complicated

Format, characters, conformity and fixation: the client had to make several decisions without clearly seeing the final result.

The command required too many trips

Without a common configuration, the customer and the workshop risked not talking about exactly the same plate.

Solution built for AutoPlaque: the new digital workflow in use.

The solution

The plate is composed on the screen

Each choice updates the preview so the customer knows what they are ordering before paying.

The workshop receives the order as is

The price is rechecked, the payment triggers the confirmations and the plate is prepared without manual re-entry.

E-commerce study

Analysis of existing purchasing journeys and friction points. Benchmark of e-commerce best practices for a technical product. The benchmark compared checkout steps, form clarity and visible trust signals.

02

Plate configurator

Development of a real-time visual configurator. The customer sees his plate being built on the screen before ordering. The configurator uses SVG renderings for clear display on all screens.

The user can preview their plate on a vehicle background to project themselves. Going from configuration to adding to cart is done in just one click.

03

Fewer abandonments along the way

Two versions of product pages compared in real conditions, simplification of checkout, addition of customer reviews displayed on the page. Every step optimized to reduce abandonment.

A/B testing looked at the placement of customer reviews, the colour of buttons and the number of steps before checkout. The final version keeps two visible steps - cart then checkout - instead of the four in the first prototype.
